These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at https://specsmate.app (the "Website") and our SpecsMate pilot programme (the "Pilot"). By using the Website or taking part in the Pilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or the Pilot.

2. Website use and intellectual property

All content on the Website, including text, graphics, videos, screenshots, product demonstrations and the "SpecsMate" name and brand, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and use the Website for your own personal or business evaluation purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works from any part of the Website or its content without our prior written consent.

3. The Pilot programme

The Pilot is open to the first 100 optical practices that register, subject to availability at our discretion. Practices accepted into the Pilot receive a 30-day free trial of the SpecsMate iPad application. Access details are sent by email following registration.

We may ask for your feedback during or after the Pilot. By providing feedback, you agree that we may use it to improve SpecsMate and our other products and services.

4. After the trial period

The 30-day free trial ends automatically. You will not be charged unless you choose a paid plan afterwards.

Continuing to use SpecsMate on a paid plan after the trial period is only possible if you explicitly choose to subscribe. Our current plans are:

All prices exclude VAT. Practices that choose annual billing receive one month free compared with monthly billing. Detailed subscription terms, including billing and cancellation, are provided to you at the point of purchase.

5. Professional responsibility

SpecsMate is a support tool intended for use by qualified eye care professionals. Measurements, lens thickness visualisations, photochromic tint simulations and any other outputs generated by SpecsMate must be verified by the optician or optometrist using the tool. The optician or optometrist remains solely responsible for the final dispensing decision. All simulations and visual previews produced by SpecsMate are illustrative only and are not a substitute for professional clinical judgement.

6. Disclaimers

The Website and the Pilot are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability or availability of the Website, the Pilot, or the SpecsMate application.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Website or the Pilot. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Third-party links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including WhatsApp. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party website or service, and linking to them does not imply our endorsement.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zrenjanin, Serbia.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continued use of the Website or the Pilot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
